Project Manager

OVERALL ROLE OBJECTIVE

The Project Manager will work within the Operations team. Applying their project management experience, they will be responsible for the co-ordination of internal and external resources for the execution of multiple projects within the TCB innovation pipeline for γδ T cell-based therapies to a number of oncology and viral targets.

The post-holder will have responsibility for managing projects in line with the company’s strategic goals and technical/financial milestones ensuring that they are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

Other responsibilities will include support given to other departments including Quality Assurance and Facilities in respect to closure of tasks related to change controls together with involvement in project activities in relation to facility build projects.

The Project Manager will join TC BioPharm Ltd (TCB), an established cancer immunotherapy company developing cell based treatments for cancer and severe viral infections. Based at their manufacturing facility in the central belt of Scotland, the successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Director of Operations. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Providing project management, monitoring, reporting, communication and liaison across all operational departments by implementing, maintaining and managing an effective system of controls. Projects will extend to all departments including facility builds;
  • Assisting with budgeting in line with directly funded projects working together with Finance, Operations and Department Heads;
  • Working together with clinical, supply chain and production teams to ensure patient scheduling and provision of product from the clean rooms is aligned and can be achieved with regards to all projects undergoing manufacturing activities;
  • Working together with the Clinical team, Supply Chain Management, Quality Control and contracted couriers to ensure that product is shipped under appropriate GMP conditions to the clinical sites in a seamless manner;
  • Producing, updating and monitoring resource planning through use of MS project Gantts for all milestone driven projects;
  • Planning, setting up and chairing meetings as appropriate to the project requirements preparing and maintaining updated meeting minutes and Gantts;
  • Working together with Development and Operations to plan, drive and monitor delivery of projects in line with top level commercial and business strategy reporting back into the executive team any potential roadblocks for success;
  • Assisting in the successful implementation and execution of change controls within a GMP setting working closely with Quality Assurance applying a project management approach to ensure actions are undertaken and closed in a timely manner;
  • Using appropriate verification techniques and communication tools to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs; and
  • Being involved in the creation of risk assessments to minimize project risks.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Educated to degree level in a life sciences discipline

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Results focused, commercially aware and driven with a proven track record in managing projects through to successful completion within a manufacturing environment;
  • Knowledge of GMP/GCP and related processes;
  • Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook;
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written;
  • Strong presentation skills including ability to train others; and
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
